Because one day just couldn’t hold all there was to experience in a tubed-meat reconnaissance mission, the Brat Smuggle was expanded into an overnight trip with lodging secured at Sheboygan’s Blue Harbor resort.

A record 11 smugglers participated in the 2008 trip, not to mentioned some locals who joined us along the way.  The expanded trip included a journey even further North to the arctic reaches of Manitowoc, with stops at Van's Liquors, Beernsten’s Confections, and Courthouse Pub.  We then made our way back to S-town for dinner at Gosse's Northwestern House, then cocktails at Hops Haven Brew Haus, Legend Larry's, plus a couple of other joints this writer was too snockered to remember.

The journey back included a pit-stop in Cedarburg for (more) confections plus a pint at Silver Creek Brewery to put the big cherry on this rock candy mountain of a trip.  How will they top this trip for 2009?  Stay tuned!
