ONE SPACE REMAINS AVAILABLE! Steve Howard and Rick Woods announce an once-in-a-lifetime trip to see two baseball stadiums (one venerable – the other not so much) before they are torn down at the end of this season. This trip also includes 3 days in upper New York state with a visit to Cooperstown .  Several stops at brewpubs, sports bars, etc. are sure to take place along the way.  Catching college football games on a Saturday and pro football games on a Sunday will be an absolute must.  By the way, the Yankees game is against the White Sox and the Mets game is against the Cubs (there is a good chance that both of these teams will be in contention in mid to late September).    Here is the itinerary and costs (up to 6 trip-goers):

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 Flight from Milwaukee to Newark ($258 RT on Midwest) or O’Hare to Newark (several airlines at $279 – only if several trip goers are from Chicago-land).  If we have a split crew from Chicago and Wisconsin , we can take separate flights and meet in New Jersey . Rent minivan (rental per person for entire trip is $85 ea. assuming worst case 5 trip-goers, lower cost if we have 6 OR have 4 and rent a car instead) NY Yankees game vs. the White Sox 7:05pm (Tier Box MVP 634, row E, seats 1-6, cost per person is $71) Overnight at Days Inn Ridgefield, NJ (cost per person double occupancy is $57)   FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 NYC to Utica – stop wherever and whenever for a cold one as necessary Overnight at Days Inn – Utica ($42 per person, double occupancy)   SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 Visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown ($16.50) Hit the local places and watch college football games all day long Overnight at Days Inn – Utica ($42 per person, double occupancy)   SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 Syracuse and return to Utica – hit the local places and catch pro football games all day long Overnight at Days Inn – Utica ($42 per person, double occupancy)   MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 Head to down NYC for the Mets game (mezzanine reserved , sec. 9, row D, seats 3-8, cost per person is $33) Overnight at Days Inn Ridgefield, NJ (cost per person double occupancy is $57)   TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 Drop off van and fly out of Newark  Total estimated costs for the “fixed” expenses shown above is $687.  The gas expense will be split.  You are on your own for food and beer.  Airport parking or limo to airport TBD.  Carry-on bag recommend – otherwise you’re likely to pay a bag fee.

IF YOU ARE FLYING WITH US OUT OF MILWAUKEE , I NEED THE LEGAL NAME ON YOUR I.D.
